By using the Site or booking an appointment, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

When you book an appointment, create an account, fill out a form, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, appointment history and preferences, hair history and service notes (for example, previous color, chemical treatments, or relaxers), allergies or sensitivities relevant to your service, payment details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers), and any messages you send us.

Photos and media. With your permission, we may take photos or video of your hair before, during, and after your service. We only use these for marketing or education if you give us separate written or digital consent (see Section 4).

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • schedule, confirm, and manage your appointments;

  • send appointment reminders, confirmations, and follow-up messages;

  • process payments, deposits, and refunds;

  • tailor your service based on your hair history and allergies;

  • respond to your questions and requests;

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our booking, scheduling, and reminder platform (Acuity Scheduling), payment processor (Square), website host (Squarespace), and analytics provider (Google Analytics). They may use your information only to perform services for us.

  • Professional advisors such as accountants and attorneys, when needed.

  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

  • A successor business if we sell or transfer the business, in which case your information may transfer with it.

If we ever refer to affiliate partners or product brands, we will not share your personal information with them without your consent.

4. Photos, Social Media, and Testimonials

We will not publish identifiable photos, videos, or testimonials of you on our website, social media, or marketing materials without your consent. You may give or withdraw photo consent at any time by contacting us at hello@querismabeautystudio.com. Withdrawing consent applies going forward and does not require us to remove content already distributed in print or by third parties.

5. Text Messages and Email

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive appointment-related text messages from us, such as confirmations and reminders. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. Opting out of marketing will not stop appointment-related messages about a booking you have already made.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or text message consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the booking system works. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google may collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide services, keep client records, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Hair history and service notes are kept for 5 years so we can give you consistent care. You may request deletion of your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Payment information is handled by our payment processor under its own security standards.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, access or receive a copy of it, correct inaccuracies, delete it, or opt out of marketing communications.
